Today our first-born turns 7 years old! Time has flown by since the day of his birth and we have been so blessed by having Zane in our lives. He is such a joy to be around and has such a caring, loving spirit about him.

Update
I have been keeping busy with the kids and have fallen behind on the blog so I have posted several updates at once to catch everybody up. We are all doing very well and adjusting to being a family of 5! I start back to work on Monday :( and I am sad that it is the end of my time off. I have really enjoyed being at home with my babies and spending quality time with Macy! However, I miss all of my co-workers and look forward to going back and getting back into a routine! Macy will start daycare next Thursday so I am praying that she will make a good transition. I know that Miss Carolyn will take great care of her though!
Macy is growing so fast and she LOVES to smile and coo and sleeps for 4 hour stretches at night, which I enjoy! She is a wonderful baby and we have enjoyed getting to know her personality!

Macy - 6 weeks old
Macy is doing really well. She is such a sweet girl and we are very blessed to have her. Her big brothers love her! Zane always wants to hold her and Kade is constantly asking to give her hugs and kisses! They are awesome big brothers!
This week Macy has found her voice and has been doing a lot of cooing. She has also starting smiling which is so exciting! There is nothing more sweet than the first smiles your baby gives you when they see you...and she has the most precious dimples when she smiles (thanks to daddy!). Enjoy her 6wk pictures!
Halloween 2009
We had a fun Halloween this year with the kids. We started the day by taking the kids to the Farm Patch in Bryan. Zane had a great time going through the maze and Kade enjoyed playing in the patch of pumpkins. Blake and Zane found their perfect carving pumpkin and then we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon outdoors carving our pumpkin. Kade was more interested in playing with his dump truck and playing chase with Momma, but in the end we had a great looking pumpkin! That evening we went to the Fall Festival at FBC-Bryan and the boys had fun playing games and getting lots of candy.

The Fireman
Blake put his fire gear on for the boys one night. Zane has seen Blake in his fire gear before, but this was something new for Kade. He wasn't sure what to think at first, but it didn't take him long to warm up to Blake. The next day we all went and had family portraits taken and Blake and Macy made the web-site! Check it out - http://www.marksykes.com/ Look under Bellies & Babies and check out the fireman holding a beautiful baby girl!

Welcome Macy Marie!!!
We would like to welcome Macy Marie to our family! She made her appearance at 4:48pm on September 21, 2009 weighing 7 lbs 6 oz and 18 3/4 in long. She is a beautiful, healthy baby girl and we are so blessed to have her! Her big brothers are very proud and excited about having a baby sister. Daddy is working hard to manage the household and adjusting to having a baby girl!!
Mom and baby are spending a lot of time bonding and catching up on some much needed rest, but both are doing well. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this pregnancy.

38 Weeks
We went to the dr. this afternoon and I still haven't progressed enough so I go back next Monday and hopefully he will induce sometime next week. I am getting pretty uncomfortable and ready for it to all be over with, but I would rather her come when she is ready. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!

37 Weeks!!!
We have made it to 37 weeks and I am now back at work part-time during the week. We are working to finish the baby room and making last minute preparations before the baby arrives! I had my weekly Dr.'s appt. yesterday and I am starting to make some progress, but it could still be a while yet. He told me that he would like to induce in 2 weeks if she has not come on her own by that time. Blake and I are still trying to come up with the perfect name for our baby girl, but we may just have to see her first! We are anxious for her to arrive...and so are her Big Brothers!

36 Weeks...
Well, I went to the Dr. again this week and everything is going well. I am still measuring small, but everything is looking good. I lost 5 lbs this past week which is quite unusual for a pregnant woman on bed rest in my opinion. I was expecting to gain more weight with this pregnancy since I have been on bed rest and haven't had much activity in the past month. So far I have gained 27 lbs which isn't that bad. Maybe she will be smaller than the boys who were both 8 pounders! The Dr. told me that I can gradually increase my activity this week and if I feel up to it I can start back to work next week, but only part-time.
Blake and I are busy trying to get things finished up and ready before the baby gets here. There is still a lot to do, but we will be ready for her when she decides to make her appearance!
Thanks to everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers!

35 Weeks Update
I went to the Dr. yesterday for my 35 week check up. Since I was measuring the same as I was the week before he decided to do an ultrasound to check the size of the baby and amount of fluid. She weighs about 5 1/2 lbs right now and everything looked normal. Blake and I enjoyed getting to see her and she looked precious with her chubby cheeks!!! We are getting very excited to see her in just a few short weeks. I should be on bed rest for about another week and then resume normal activities as I feel able and wait until she decides to make her appearance.

First Day of School
Zane started First Grade today! He was so excited about going back to school and loves his new school and new classroom! We hope that he has a Great First Day! I have posted some pictures of how his morning went. He is a big boy now so he wasn't too excited about me taking pictures of him in his new class. As you can tell, I didn't follow Dr.'s orders today...I got out of the house so I could walk my baby to his classroom this morning. I just couldn't stay home and miss out on that! We Love You Zane!!!

34 Weeks & Counting
I had my weekly dr.'s visit today and he is pleased with how the bed rest is going for me. I had a pretty good week last week, with fewer contractions than I have had in the past weeks. The dr. told me that he would like me to have 2 more weeks of bed rest and then I will be able to go back to normal activities. We still have a lot to do to get ready for this baby, so I will continue to get plenty of rest and hope that we can make it a few more weeks. Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers!

Bed Rest
As some of you know, my dr. has placed me on bed rest indefinitely. I have been experiencing early contractions and he wants me to get plenty of rest. We are very grateful for family and friends who have been a great help to us during this time, and also for all the thoughts and prayers! Blake has been SuperDad at home and he is doing a GREAT job! We have so much to do before the baby comes, but I am confident that it will all work out.
I wanted to share some pictures from a couple nights ago. Blake was watching the boys and he let Kade have some fun by emptying the basket with all the papers waiting to be shred. I couldn't help but laugh. Zane joined in the fun and helped daddy clean up the mess.
